Profile

George Pigman works on Renaissance literature and intellectual history, especially relations between classical antiquity and the early modern period. Following upon his recent book on the history of dream theory, he is preparing an edition and translation of the Latin text of Girolamo Cardano's Synesian Dreams (1562), the most important treatise on dream theory in the early modern period.
