Robert Rosenstone, professor of history at Caltech, will present and read from his novel Red Star, Crescent Moon: A Muslim—Jewish Love Story in a program at Vroman s Bookstore (695 E. Colorado Blvd.). The novel, which is set in Spain, revolves around a women s film festival, the on-location shoot of a Hollywood historical epic, the seductive activities of a movie star known as The Most Beautiful Man in the World, and the actions of terrorists who wish to reclaim Spain for Islam.
