Is Time Hollow, or Just the Earth? The Strange Case of James Ross Island
Gillen Wood, Professor of English and Director of the Sustainability Studies Initiative in the Humanities, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign,

James Ross is a remote, volcano-rich island off the Antarctic Peninsula. 150 years after its first sighting through the telescope of a British explorer, the island is now one of the most important scientific sites in the world--a Grand Central Station for teams of geologists, palaeontologist and climatologists. What secrets does the island hold about our planet's past, and humanity's future?
