Tobias Wyss, Director and Author,
Tobias Wyss chronicles the life of his uncle Walter Otto Wyss (1911-2001) in seven episodes, following the traces of his idol from Switzerland to the USA, Japan and finally to Honolulu. A life full of secrets, with many documents, interviews and specially the written correspondence between W.O.W. and his beloved mother. Wyss s fascination for his multi-talented uncle who is acknowledged for inventing a precursor to the modern Hybrid car (that was never produced) and known as an important designer and engineer in the US Auto industry marks only the beginning of his investigation into a life marked by international journeys, an enduring connection to his homeland of Switzerland, missed opportunities, and reclusive isolation.

In (Swiss)-German/Japanese/Italian--English subtitles.

Introduction and Q&A after screening by Tobias Wyss reception with Swiss Consul General Roland Rietmann.
