Free Jazz Concert

There will be a free jazz demonstration concert on Monday, May 4, at 11:00 AM in Dabney Hall. The concert is for the benefit of students enrolled in Mu26: Jazz History but open to everyone on campus. The concert will feature Roger Newman, saxophone, Andy Langham, piano, Jennifer Leitham, piano, and Jey Giuliano, drums. The players will demonstrate various jazz styles of performance, discuss the art of improvisation and play a number of jazz charts ranging from the Swing Era, through Bebop and to the present day. Come and go as you can. All are welcome.
