Black History Month Event: Author Simi Bedford

British-Nigerian author Simi Bedford will read from and discuss her new novel, Not With Silver, which tells the story of an African family's experiences of slavery. Published to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the banning of the slave trade, the novel counters other anniversary literature that celebrates only the white English liberals who contributed to the end of the slave trade.
