Ec 1 will provide a window into economics, covering a "greatest hits" curriculum in economic theory, empirical economics and experimental economics. Topics will include: game theory, the theory of auctions, information design and mechanism design, the analysis of voting rules, experiments in economics, macroeconomic growth, and data science. This course satisfies the menu requirement of the Caltech core curriculum.
