Profile
Jenny Factor is the author of two books of poetry, Unraveling at the Name (Copper Canyon Press, 2002), and Want, the Lake (Red Hen Press, 2024). Her poetry and reviews appear in Paris Review, Ploughshares, Prairie Schooner, and a substack, Her Poetic Materials. Jenny's workshop focuses on poetic form and the role of poetry as a laboratory for language and community. Beyond her work as a practicing poet, Jenny studies the social communities that build up around public and private literary life, and the media and leisure history of the long eighteenth century.

At the HSS holiday gathering on December 6, Tracy Dennison, Edie and Lew Wasserman Professor of Social Science History and Ronald and Maxine Linde Leadership Chair of the Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences, announced the recipients of the 2022 Brass Division Awards (BDA).
