Join us as a distinguished panel drawn from science, academia, government, and private philanthropy seeks to address some of the questions raised by the shifting models of support for research science.

The discussion will be moderated by Robert J. Zimmer, president of the University of Chicago, chair of the board of governors of Argonne National Laboratory, and member of the National Science Board, with perspectives from

Major General Charles F. Bolden, administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration

Subra Suresh, president of Carnegie Mellon University and former director of the National Science Foundation

Ellen Williams (PhD '81), director-designate of the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA‑E) and former chief scientist at British Petroleum
