Cortical inhibition and visual processing
Massimo Scanziani, Professor, Biology, University of California, San Diego,
Sensory evoked activity in the cerebral cortex is shaped in time and space by the interaction between synaptic excitation and inhibition. Using the mouse visual system as an experimental model, I will discuss how distinct inhibitory circuits precisely control different aspect of cortical responses to sensory stimulation.
