Postdoctoral Scholar in Neuroimaging and Big Data Analyses of Survival Decisions
We have an opening for one or two postdoctoral scholars to study the ecological models of survival decisions in humans. The positions will be for two years with the possibility of extension. The postdoctoral scholar will strive to improve the basic scientific understanding of human decision making under threat, with implications for improving related psychiatric disorders.
The postdoctoral scholar will work under the supervision of Prof. Dean Mobbs, in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. We invite ALL talented applicants. Applicants should hold or be completing a PhD in neuroscience, psychology, physics, or math and computer science. In addition, applicants should have some of the following skills:
- Advanced knowledge of neuroimaging data analyses (machine learning; MVPA for fMRI data, neural networks).
- Ability to scrape web data, clean, and manage large data sets.
- Python, Psych Toolbox, Matlab, R or Stata, Prolific, Unity, Qualtrics.
- The ability to create virtual environments using PHP, Erlang, Java and C++ and the like.
- Skill and appreciation for interdisciplinary thinking and communication.
Requirements: Positions are contingent upon completion of the PhD. Hiring Salary: $68,000 per year
