Click
here to obtain the archived file (pb.tar), which contains:
- A readme file (readme).
- Two ascii datasets (one for Republican [srep.raw.Z]
and the other Democrats [sdem.raw.Z]).
- SST code to read the data, do some simple recodes, and run the
models reported in the paper (pb.cmd.Z).
- Government Partisanship, Labor Organization, and Macroeconomic
Performance. R. Michael Alvarez, Geoffrey Garrett and Peter Lange.
American Political Science Review, Volume 85, Number 2, June 1991:
pages 539-556. Unfortunately, the replication dataset for this paper has
become corrupted. I will attempt to reconstruct it soon. In the meantime,
I recommend using Bruce Western's
data, or using this
STATA dataset that was recently put together by Jeff Lewis with the help of Jonathan
Katz.
