Mu32 is a survey course tracing the developments in European art music during the Baroque Period, or from approximately 1600 to 1750.

Some ability at reading musical scores is required. Students who have had Mu27 at Caltech or a minimum of 1-2 years of instruction on a musical instrument or similar experience in vocal/choral performance will generally have the required music-reading skills. If you have a question regarding your ability to read music, speak with the instructor.
