Invitation for Applications: Part-Time Lecturer in Linguistics.
The Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences of the California Institute of Technology invites applications for a part-time lecturer to teach an introductory course in Linguistics in the Spring of 2009.
Lecturer salaries are commensurate with tenure-track salaries in the discipline, pro-rated for the number of courses.
We encourage applications from qualified individuals in the Los Angeles area who would enjoy teaching Caltech students; Caltech classes are generally small, and the students are of superior intellectual ability.
Candidates for the position must have a Ph.D. and should send a CV; three letters of recommendation; a course syllabus; teaching evaluations (if available); and a letter describing their research interests. Email attachments should include the applicant's last name a the beginning of label, i.e.: SmithCV.doc; recommendations may come by regular mail.
