Invitation for Applications: Assistant Professor in Philosophy

The Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences of the California Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant level. Exceptionally well-qualified applicants may also be considered at the associate or full professor level.

Area of specialization: Any area of philosophy informed by the empirical or mathematical sciences (e.g., philosophy of science, philosophy of psychology, empirical ethics, political philosophy, experimental philosophy). We are seeking highly qualified candidates who are committed to a career in research and teaching.

The term of the initial appointment is normally four years, if untenured, and is contingent upon completion of the Ph.D.
