NOV 30:
Solutions to Problems Set 5 are now posted.
I noticed that I had posted an incomplete answer to Problem 2 part c of Problem set 4. I have revised the solution accordingly and posted the revised solution
Today is the last day of class - I will cover the basic principles of option valuation (probably about 40% of the slides - and skip some of the practical aspects that you can read on your own. And I will answer the questions you may have at this time.
There are a few house keeping issues that we need to deal with to wrap up this interesting term:
I will hand out the final exam at the end of the class. It is due in ten days (Friday December 10th) If you are unable to pick it up in class, you can always pick it up from Karen Kerbs Baxter 332 before the due date
We need to deal with the teaching evaluations at the end of the class and I will need a volunteer to collect the completed evaluations and to walk them back to Baxter 279a and slip them under the door of Victoria Seas office.
You need to pick up your graded homeworks, tests and assignments that you haven't picked up yet. I will return the DFA case and homework 4 at the begining of class. If you haven't picked up your homeworks, all remaining ones will be left with Karen Kerbs at Baxter 332
For those of you who are interested in Invesmtent Jobs, there is a very good book about how to prepare for wall street interviews: "Heard on the Street: Quantitative Questions from Wall Street Job Interviews" by Timothy F. Crack and it is available from Amazon
NOV 20:
All the slides are now available. Lecture Slides 11 and Lecture Slides 12 have been posted. Lecture 11 cover options: it is rather long and includes many practical details that we may skip during class, but that I thought may be of interest to you.

Our LA office is at the corner of Wilson and Colorado about 5 blocks above Caltech. We are actively hiring and thought you might have some students who want to talk with us. The finance practice is involved in many of the major wall street cases. We use state of the art finance and econometrics, so it is an intriguing job. OCT 1:
CLASS ROOM CHANGE: The classroom for the course has been moved to Moore 080, which is a lecture hall in the subbasement of the Moore Laboratory building. Note that the Moore Building is locked in the evening. Security will unlock the building to let the class in from 6:55pm to 7:15pm and relock the door promptly at 7:15pm. Hence you will be unable to enter the building and get to the classroom after 7:15. It is thus important to be there on time.
Also security and the Moore Building occupants ask us NOT TO PROP THE BUILDING DOOR OPEN as much valuable equipment is located there unlocked and they have experienced a raft of equipment disappearance recently. Please help me comply with this policy as we are using the class room with their kind help.
